Karolinska Institutet

As a university, KI is Sweden’s single largest centre of medical academic research and offers the country’s widest range of medical courses and programmes.

Researchers at KI are conducting the first Swedish clinical trial investigating psilocybin-assisted therapy for depression. The study, which is the first of its kind in Sweden, aims to evaluate the clinical effect of psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy on depression and to further understand the mechanisms of the treatment.  Johan Lundberg is leading this research.
