This open-label trial (n=20) seeks to evaluate psilocybin-assisted interpersonal social and rhythm therapy (IPSRT) for treatment-resistant depression. Participants will receive two doses of psilocybin and eight sessions of psychotherapy.
IPSRT aims to minimize disruptions to daily routines and rhythms since these changes can lead to disrupted sleep and an unstable mood in some people.
Primary outcome measures include the feasibility of delivering this type of therapy in combination with psilocybin as well as the feasibility of recruiting patients with major depression for this treatment in New Zealand.
