Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy

This course is no longer available. Mindspace is now part of Numinus.

The Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy course examines the role of psychedelics in mental health treatment. With a focus on clinicians and healthcare providers, this online workshop illuminates the current research landscape, clinical applications, and methods for working with patients interested in or who have used psychedelics.

The course offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, through interactive role plays, demonstrations, and case studies. Notably, the course has a successful track record, having been offered nationally and internationally numerous times and generating significant interest within the professional community.

Structured as a three-day workshop, this course includes two key segments: Psychedelics 101 and Psychedelics 102. The former offers an overview of psychedelic drugs, their history, and current research, including legal status, clinical trials, outcomes, and potential implications for addiction and trauma treatment. The latter segment focuses on the practical side, providing tools and techniques for working with patients considering, using, or having used psychedelics. Participants can expect to learn about assessment and integration techniques, legal and ethical issues, and ways to approach high-risk cases. Additionally, this course partially fulfills the requirements for Fluence’s Postgraduate Certificate in Psychedelic Integration Therapy, further enhancing its value for professional development.
