The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research has awarded federal funding to a clinical trial with psychedelics, in what is a first for Germany.
The clinical trial will explore the “Efficacy and Safety of Psilocybin in Treatment-Resistant Major Depression.” The study will take place at both the Central Institute for Mental Health in Mannheim as well as the Charité Campus Berlin Mitte. Researchers from the MIND Foundation are also involved in the study.
