Jason Luoma is a Co-founder and current Director of Portland Psychotherapy Clinic, Research, and Training Center, a research and training clinic based on a social enterprise model that uses business revenue to fund substantial and ongoing research activities.
As a researcher, Luoma studies shame, self-criticism, stigma, and the interpersonal effects of emotion, and published the first randomized trial of an intervention focused on helping people with shame. He is also an internationally recognized trainer in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
