West Haven-Yale Multidimensional Pain Inventory

The West Haven-Yale Multidimensional Pain Inventory (WHYMPI) is designed to examine the impact of chronic pain on patients’ lives, the response of others to the patients’ communication of pain, and the extent to which patients participate in common daily activities. The WHYMPI is a 52-item, 12-scale inventory that is divided into three parts.
