Psychedelic Science Poland 2024

The Polish Psychedelic Society and the Polish Drug Policy Network, in cooperation with the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, are thrilled to announce the second edition of the interdisciplinary conference “Psychedelic Science,” taking place from June 15-16, 2024. This biennial event, held at the prestigious Aula im. Adam Mickiewicz in the Auditorium Maximum, promises a comprehensive exploration of the latest advancements in psychedelic research, therapy, and policy, featuring a diverse lineup of sessions and renowned speakers.

Over two days, attendees will dive into the complexities of psychedelics’ impact on consciousness and the body, their therapeutic potential, and the legal and cultural issues surrounding their use. Highlighting the program are presentations on Polish clinical research and studies on psychedelic users in Poland, delivered by the nation’s foremost experts in the field. The conference will also feature a cultural event on Saturday evening, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere.

A significant conclusion to the conference on Sunday includes a patient and social debate with international guests, organized in collaboration with the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights. This debate will address the therapeutic use of psychedelics for post-traumatic stress disorder among war veterans and uniformed services, with insights from notable figures like Dr. Rick Doblin and Stanislav Hibadulin.

With opportunities for in-person and online participation, “Psychedelic Science” aims to engage professionals from mental health, law, neuroscience, and beyond, as well as anyone interested in the medicinal use of psychedelics. The event, which will be translated into English and Ukrainian, underscores the growing global and local interest in psychedelics, making it a pivotal gathering for knowledge exchange and networking in Poland.
