Trainings in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy

The 16-week Trainings in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy course offered by the Living Medicine Institute is designed for clinical professionals interested in integrating ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) into their practice. The course is a blend of didactic learning and experiential sessions, led by some of the most seasoned KAP providers in the country.

Participants will engage in bi-weekly online live teaching sessions that complement a series of pre-recorded video lectures. These didactic components are enriched by seven experiential ketamine sessions, allowing trainees to gain firsthand experience with various routes of ketamine administration. The course is structured to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, without the clinical supervision stage, making it ideal for those who are looking to explore this emerging field but do not yet have an active KAP practice.

The training is conducted in a closed learning container, fostering in-depth understanding and personal exploration. Trainees can attend experiential sessions in Asheville, NC, or at a local clinic that can safely administer ketamine. The course also includes an optional full-day, in-person workshop in Asheville. Homework assignments requiring personal reflection and tracking of learning points are part of the curriculum. Upon completion, participants will have accrued over 5 hours of video lectures, 16 hours of live teaching, and 17+ hours of ketamine experientials, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to begin practice as a KAP therapist.
