The Oregon Psilocybin Advisory Board (OPAB) was established as a result of the passing of Ballot Measure 109. In 2020, Oregon became the first state in the US to legalize psilocybin.
The OPAB makes recommendations to the Oregon Health Authority on scientific studies and research on the safety and efficacy of psilocybin in treating mental health conditions, and makes recommendations on the requirements, specifications and guidelines for providing psilocybin services in Oregon. The Board are currently developing a long-term plan for ensuring that psilocybin services are safe, accessible and affordable for those who are eligible.
