The Center for Psychedelic Drug Research & Education (CPDRE) at the College of Social Work at Ohio State University aims to explore and advance the research about psychedelic drugs and their effects, and to disseminate the knowledge about psychedelics.
Founded in January 2022, researchers at the CPDRE are developing a relevant, rigorous, and contemporary curriculum to prepare social work graduates, and students across the OSU campus to address issues related to understanding the implications associated with the history, pharmacology, and legal, ethical, clinical, cultural, and ecological contexts of psychedelic drug use.
Alan Davis is the current Director at the CPDRE. The centre will host Psychedemia 2022 which takes place in August 2022.
Faculty member Brain Pace teaches Psychedelic Studies: Neurobiology, Plants, Fungi, and Society in the Department of Plant Pathology at OSU.
