The Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-26) is probably the most widely used standardized self-report measure of symptoms relating to eating disorders. Upon completion a referral index is generated based on; 1) the score based on the questions of the EAT-26; 2) the score based on answers related to eating behaviours and 3) the individual’s BMI. If the cut off score is met, a referral to a medical professional is generally recommended.
