IV International Conference on Psychedelics

The IV International Conference on Psychedelics & Mental Health will gather 400 delegates in the Corralejo Auditorium, Fuerteventura, on November 7-8, 2025. Under the banner “The Varieties of the Psychedelic Experience,” the meeting positions itself as a lighthouse for the Spanish-speaking psychedelic renaissance, melding clinical science with ancestral practice on the volcanic shores of the Canary Islands.

The programme is intentionally structured around the tripartite arc of preparation, initiation, and integration, framing the two-day gathering itself as a lived psychedelic journey. Panels will compare clinical set-and-setting protocols with festival culture, shamanic ritual, and laboratory research, inviting debate rather than passive listening.

Confirmed faculty include Shipibo healer Ronin Wesna (keynote on indigenous medicine), neuro-music pioneer Mendel Kaelen (on the therapeutic role of sound), veteran psychiatrist Dr Joan Obiols, and integration scholar Eirini K. Argyri. Sessions range from a young investigators’ forum and poster showcase to in-depth discussions on policy, law, and feminist drug reform, ensuring both academic rigor and grassroots relevance.

Beyond the lecture hall, delegates can join a four-hour catamaran voyage to Isla de Lobos for snorkeling, paella, and informal networking, while Fuertedélica Week extends the experience with workshops, ketamine-assisted therapy trainings, and ceremonial practice across the island. Poster abstracts are still welcome, reinforcing the event’s open-source ethos of shared discovery.
