Dr Shannon Dames is a Professor of Nursing at Vancouver Island University. Dr Dames holds a Masters in Public Health from the Oregon Health and Science University and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Calgary. Dr Dames is currently leading a team at VIU exploring the possibility of using ketamine-assisted therapy to treat front-line workers experiencing symptoms of PTSD in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
