Florian founded atai in June 2018 after working at Springlane (a German online retailer) for nearly five years.
In his leadership role he has also served as the interim CEO at Perception Neuroscience, an atai company. He has served on the board of Compass Pathways (from January 2019 to April 2021) and still serves on the board of Perception, EntheogeniX, DemeRx, and GABA
Florian has taken the Founders Pledge, meaning he has pledged to give away a part of his personal proceeds on liquidity (company sale or going public) to social causes.
