The Psychoactive Pharmaceutical Investigation Master’s program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is a program that trains students to become leaders in the rapidly expanding field of psychoactive pharmaceutical research. The program is designed to deliver an online learning experience and is taught by expert instructors active in psychedelic and cannabinoid research.
The curriculum connects chemistry and culture, equity and ethnobotany, and phenomenology and pharmacokinetics to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the scientific, regulatory, and societal frameworks surrounding the application of psychoactive pharmaceuticals. Upon graduation, students will hold a gold-standard academic credential that demonstrates their mastery of the unique pharmacologic and physiologic considerations for CNS drug development and delivery projects, laws and regulations, and ethical principles surrounding the application of psychoactive pharmaceuticals, and the historical pressures, current challenges, and cutting-edge discoveries that will shape the future of psychedelic and cannabinoid research.
The course can be taken in one year, but up to three years, and confers 31 (costly) credits. The fall deadline is June 30th; the spring deadline is October 31st.
