Lumenate have developed an app which allows users to explore their subconscious without consuming any psychoactive drugs. The company use a method known as sensory entrainment in the form of carefully designed stroboscopic light sequences on users phones. Such sequences reportedly decrease activity in the default mode network (DMN) and increase functional connectivity, amongst other things. Funded by Amanda Fieldling of the Beckley Foundations, Beckley Waves Investment were the first to invest in Lumenate.
